I remember sighting photos of Hasan uncle & Husnara aunty’s visits abroad, I was unaware of details of his deputation to Europe ( 1947) and his contribution during 1954 in Japan and other places! Maasha’Allah. He had with him an equally accomplished/ strong and devoted wife by his side !
Most of us from my generation are aware of Hasan uncle’s outstanding carrier and his multi layered achievements/ accomplishments towards education and particularly towards the less fortunate. Hasan uncle was blessed with the gift of acknowledging/ encouraging talents and potential in others particularly youngsters.
I felt touched by Nasreen’s words of special annual visits she made to be with Hasan uncle and to ‘connect’ with him. I too consider myself very fortunate for having spent some very special, precious moments and time with him during my multiple visits to Aziz Bagh to see and be with my elderly parents .
Both my parents were high admirers of Hasan uncles ‘all round accomplishments’. My parents had huge love and respect for Hasan uncle and aunty Husnara who was for all of us a true ‘ role model’!
I just want to pause and reflect on the depth of love , affection and respect THAT GENERATION had for one another !! It was indeed a ‘golden era’ ! Aziz Bagh in its true sense was a garden “ a Bagh of Khushboo, Pyaar, Ittifaque, Aitehaad aur Milansari “ amidst its residents. Such precious memories that we need to keep reminding our youngsters InSha’Allah.
