Abida Aunty was not only a very down-to-earth simple and pious lady, but she was also well versed with good religious knowledge. Abida Aunty stayed well-connected with not only the Aziz Bagh khandan but also with her in-law’s family, particularly Mazhar Uncle and also with local Muslim Community of friends.
After Naim uncle passed away in Jan 2000, Abida Aunty dedicated the last 2 decades of her life to submission of Allah. She used to recite several siparas plus pansura on a daily basis and pray Tahajud, and stay up from Fajr to Ishraq mashallah. During Ramadan, she used to complete multiple Qurans. She also would advise everyone on matters of Islam and other worldly matters and she was very much involved in charity and helping the needy and the poor. She was an excellent cook like her mother and made delicious Achaar.
