Alhamdulillah, moving from Iran was a totally different environment for us. We decided to start everything on our own although the family offered help. We stayed in Devon in an apartment as Zia had to pass his Usmle exams. We came on visitor\u2019s visa and then when Zia joined Kaplan he got student\u2019s visa. We didn\u2019t buy a car for a year and since we came in December and experiencing the first winter was tough but not impossible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zia started studying in Kaplan from 9am to 9pm and would come home sleep for a few hours and start studying from 3am. It was a 10 mins walk for him to Kaplan in that severe weather. And I started working in a doctor\u2019s office which was an hour and a half away from our place and I had to change 3 buses each way. And since I was working in the south side it was very scary but Alhamdulillah managed well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then I worked at the Raaz boutique on the weekends and some days I was doing data entry for Zainab apa\u2019s TV channel \u201cIslam at a glance \u201c and after coming home I used to cook and then would do billing for 3 doctor\u2019s Alhamdulillah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I used to leave my son Adil at my friend\u2019s house in the same complex. We found the routes for the buses on the map. Then after Zia cleared his exams he started working where I was working and I started working at nafees mami\u2019s office which was also an hour and a half ride and I worked there traveling in the buses till 7 months of my pregnancy Shukr Alhamdulillah. Zia passed with very good scores although he studied after 10 years MashaAllah. It was a tough start but Allah swt made it easy for us.
