We all pray to be with Allah, the All-Mighty some day. Sanober Ali was chosen to be the Daisy 🌼 of the Garden of Jannah.
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
Only the good depart young.
She was the youngest of the twelve cousins from my paternal grandfather Deen Yar Jung’s side. She was my kid sister, the sister I never had.
Daisy went to the prestigious Good Shepherd Convent School back in Madras. She continued at the Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women. She was also a graduate of another prestigious University SIET Women’s College.
Professionally she was Sr. Vice President at the Needham Bank and Eastern Bank.
My cousin and best friend Azher married Daisy in 1976.
Growing up we used to visit my Phuppu Rukhaiya aunty on our annual trips to Madras and stayed at their house at Spurtank Chetpet Road. Daisy’s house was named HYDERABAD HOUSE. Lots of childhood memories there.
A block from their house there used to be an ice cream parlor called Hansa, my favorite place. Both Fawzia and Daisy knowing my love for ice cream, used to treat me during my frequent trips to Madras.
Soon after I got married, Razia and I drove to Boston in 1978 and stayed with Azher & Daily at their second house at Brockton. If I remember it correctly, this house was after Worcester and before their present house in Natick. Remember watching Jaws 2 there with Azher and Daisy.
Daisy had a full life, she was married to one of the Best, mother of two adorable children; Raza & Laila; and one grandchild Gabriel. As a bonus, she was Blessed with daughter-in-law Sara Sadat, a professional and community activist, and son-in-law Josip Brkic a Captain at major airlines.
